Why We Give
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
II Corinthians 9:6-7
As believers, we give out of a heart of love, appreciation and expectation. Our giving is an act of worship with the belief in God's Word that He will supply our needs. Corinthians nine commands us to give with a cheerful heart to position ourselves to experience the promise that God will give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
